In the latest version of Sellvio, v5.50.0, three major improvements have been introduced, further enhancing the system’s flexibility and automation capabilities. These updates bring efficiency and convenience improvements across warehouse management, product data automation, and the customization of the purchasing process.

Automatic stock movements

The new automatic stock movement feature allows the system to manage product quantities automatically based on order statuses. Within the settings interface, it is possible to define which order statuses trigger stock deduction and in which cases quantities should be restored. The feature applies exclusively to the predefined warehouses, ensuring precise control even in multi-warehouse operations. This improvement greatly enhances the accuracy and reliability of stock data.

 

Product Generation Based on ISBN

A new AI-powered feature has been introduced, enabling the system to automatically generate product information based on the ISBN number of a book. With this functionality, Sellvio can automatically create the product name, author, description, and other attributes, eliminating the need for manual data entry. This feature significantly speeds up the process of adding new books and ensures consistent and accurate product data across the catalog.

New Configuration Options in the Purchase Process

Two new configuration options have been introduced in the product editor to help fine-tune the purchasing process.

When the “Advance payment required” option is enabled, the given product can only be purchased via bank transfer or card payment, while cash on delivery is disabled. This setting is particularly useful for custom-made or special-order products that require advance payment.

By enabling the “Non-deliverable” option, the customer cannot select a courier service and only personal pickup is available. This solution is particularly useful in cases where the product is sold as an on-site service or requires personal handover.

The purpose of this development is to allow merchants to flexibly manage the purchasing process at the product level, ensuring that customers always see the most suitable payment and delivery options.
